KMV’s NCC cadets excel at Army Attachment Camp

Jalandhar November 22 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) NCC Cadets brought laurels to KMV by attending Army Attachment Camp for 12 days. The Army Attachment Camp was conducted by 18 Sikh Regiment.

These camps are conducted by the NCC in collaboration with the Indian Army, as the willing cadets are attached to the 18 Sikh Regiment for the training period of 12 days. For the cadets it was a life time experience, where they lived the routine of army cadets for the tenure of the camp.

During the camp cadets were exposed to practical training and knowledge about the weapons and equipment which are used by the Indian Army. NCC cadets were also given practical chance to fire with INSAS rifle and LMG& various lectures were also conducted by Army officers and retired officers about SSB, leadership qualities and many other things.

25 cadets got a chance to attend the Army rally

In this camp 25 cadets got a chance to attend the Army rally where 4 cadets LCPL Tanvi Pathania, LCPL Mandeep Kaur, LCPL Geetika Sharma and cadet Harshita Gurung were from KMV.

Principal Prof Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi said such trainings are vital part of holistic education and appreciated the Department of NCC for providing such opportunities and NCC for working zealously to come up with a variety of opportunities and activities everyday so that girls can emerge as the future leaders of the Nation.

Commanding officer 2 Pb. (G) Bn. NCC Jalandhar Col. Maninder Singh Sachdeva congratulated the cadets for their excellent performance in the training camp.
