KMV’s Taekwondo team showcases an excellent performance in the Inter-College Taekwondo Championship

Jalandhar November 26 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) known for its commitment to excellence in education and sports, consistently strives to achieve greatness. In this series, the Taekwondo team if KMV illuminated the name of the college by achieving an overall silver medal at the Inter-College Taekwondo Championship held at Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar.

During this championship, the members of K.M.V.’s Taekwondo team namely Shagun Thakur, Manpreet Kaur, and Amarjeet Kaur, individually earned gold and bronze medals. Additionally, Suman and Jasmin Bassi claimed silver medals, while Amandeep Kaur and Pooja secured bronze medals. Notably, K.M.V.’s team garnered 5 gold medals in the Poomsae event, along with 3 silver and 5 bronze medals in the Fight category.

Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi congratulated all team members on this special achievement, encouraging them to continue their hard work and dedication for success in the future. She lauded the efforts of Dr. Davinder Singh, Head of the Physical Education Department, Mrs. Manpreet and Coach Mr Sunil Kumar for providing appropriate guidance to the students in their pursuit of excellence.
