PG Department of Fashion Designing organised a Workshop on the topic ‘Techniques of Textile Designing’.
Jalandhar December 20 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- The resource person of the session was Mr. Ashwani Khosla, a Professional from Briteway Colours, Amritsar. He guided the participants regarding the various techniques of dyeing and printing the fabrics. He also demonstrated the process of tie-dye, batik dyeing as well as screen printing. The ulterior motive was to provide students with valuable insights into the conceptual intricacies of textile design and fostering creativity in the realm of fabric aesthetics. Students of B.Sc, M.Sc and B.Voc joined the workshop and learnt fascinating things about the topic.
This workshop enables the students to design beautiful clothing as well as home furnishings. President Shri Naresh Budhia, Senior Vice President Shri Vinod Dada, other members of the managing committee and Principal Prof.(Dr.) Pooja Prashar acknowledged the endeavours of the department for their dedication and meticulous planning as the workshop proved to be an invaluable experience, empowering students with both practical skills and industry insights.
