Jalandhar December 23 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- The annual prize distribution ceremony ‘Bestowal to the Best’ was organized at Innocent Hearts School, Green Model Town under the aegis of Bowry Memorial Educational and Medical Trust, in which children from all five schools of Innocent Hearts participated with great enthusiasm. Mr. Kanwardeep Singh (Chairman, Punjab State Child Rights Protection Commission) played the role of the chief guest and renowned social worker Mrs. Suman Sareen was the special guest. The program started with lighting of the lamp.

On this occasion, children chanted the mantra of Maa Saraswati and then the program started with the worship of Lord Nataraja. A wonderful cultural program was presented by the students. Orchestra, robotic dance, western dance, fusion ballet and hip-hop dances presented by children enthralled the audience. The patriotic dance was highly appreciated.

Dr. Palak Gupta Bowry (Director CSR) informed about the commendable efforts and work being done under ‘Disha- an initiative’ being run under the aegis of Bowry Memorial Educational and Medical Trust. She said that not only in the field of education but also in the field of medicine, Bowry Memorial Trust has done commendable work by achieving many achievements. She mentioned that the Trust is continuously striving for the betterment of the youth. The Trust tries to bring innovation in the teaching methodology by incorporating technology.

The special guests were Mrs. Suman Sareen, Dr. Chandar Bowry (Managing Director, Medical Services Innocent Hearts Group), Mr. Sandeep Jain (Trustee), Mr. K.K. Sareen (Finance Advisor) distributed awards to the achievers of students at National and State level and also presented scholarship cheques to the meritorious students of the five schools and B.Ed College. Mrs. Suman Sareen encouraged the students and praised them and wished them all the best for their bright future.

The stage was conducted by the students of the Student Council.

In the annual award distribution ceremony, the chief guest Mr. Kanwarpreet Singh, Dr. Anup Bowry (Chairman of Innocent Hearts Group), Dr. Romesh Sood (President of Bowry Memorial Trust) and Dr. Palak Gupta Bowry awarded the students who got more than 90% marks in class 10th and 12th. Meritorious students were honoured with awards. The best performers of the five schools in the fields of dance, music and acting were also honored. Chief guest Mr. Kanwarpreet Singh praised the cultural program presented by the children.

He said that the work done by Bowry Memorial Trust for the betterment of the society is truly praiseworthy. This organization has always been striving for the all-round development of children. Dr. Rohan Bowry (Deputy Director Medical Services, Innocent Hearts Group) and other members of the Bowry Memorial Trust were also present at the function.

On behalf of Mr. Dinesh Aggarwal, in the memory of his son Archit and nephew Dhruv, student of the year award was awarded to Aditi Bajaj (Green Model Town) by Mrs. Suman Sareen, which carried a cash prize of Rs 5100/- along with a trophy. Yashika Sharma, student of Loharan and Gurnayam Kaur, student of Nurpur were declared Student of the Year and awarded (Rs 5100/- cash along with trophy) by Executive Director of Schools Mrs. Shally Bowry, Executive Director of Colleges, Mrs. Aradhana Bowry in the memory of Founder Madam Smt. Kamlesh Bowry.

On this occasion the chief guest was honoured with a memento. The famous Punjabi folk dance Bhangra was the center of attraction. In the end, all the students, parents and teachers together presented the school song and the program ended with the the National Anthem.
