
Jalandhar February 25 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Anti-ragging cell of Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar, organised poster-making and slogan-writing competitions on the theme of ‘Curbing the Menace of Ragging’. On this occasion, Principal, Dr. Neerja Dhingra expressed her opinion that it becomes utmost important for teachers to spread awareness among students regarding social problem of ragging rampant in society and possible solutions available.
It is noteworthy that students showed their sensitive side to these issues and participated with full zest. Through their creative abilities, they took vow not to take part in ragging and to dissuade other students also from indulging in them.
In poster making competition, Simran of M.A Fine Arts 2nd sem, BhaviniVerma of M.A. Fine Arts 4th sem, and Jasmeet Kaur of Bachelor in Design and Multimedia bagged 1st, 2nd and 3rd position, respectively. Paras Seth of Bachelor in Design and Multimedia received consolation prize. In slogan writing also, Simran and Neha of M.A. Fine Arts 2nd sem, obtained first and second position, respectively.
Principal, Dr. Neerja Dhingra, congratulated all the students who participated in these competitions. Also, she appreciated the efforts of Dr. Seema Sharma, Dr. Monika Arora and Dr. Kewal Krishan for successfully organising these activities.
