Apeejay College of Fine Arts celebrated International Women’s Day

Jalandhar March 9 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- The Department of Social Sciences and NSS Wing of Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar celebrated International Women’s Day as part of the ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav ‘ as proposed by government of India to commemorate 75 years of Independence of India.

Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra was the Chief Guest of the day. Addressing the gathering, she said that in order to rise and shine today’s woman has to be determinant and consistent in her efforts in order to stand tall and make her space in the society.

On this occasion, Bhavini and Riya from BSc. Semester 2 shared their views and recited poem on the subject of women respectively. A mono act was presented by the students of B.A. telling the need and importance of celebrating International Women’s Day. Few games were played by faculty and students together.

Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra was honoured on this occasion and she appreciated the sincere efforts of Dr. Simkee Dev and Mr. Vishva Bandhu Verma for successfully organizing the entire event.
