
Jalandhar November 15 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Carrying its legacy of more than two decades of shining and leaving their footmarks in Youth Festivals organised by Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar once again made its mark and shone brighter like a diamond.
On the first day of Zonal Youth Festival, Bhangra, Folk Song, Vaar Singing, Kavishri, Folk Orchestra, Classical Instrumental (Percussion and Non- Percussion), Classical Music Vocal (Solo), Painting on the Spot, Clay Modelling, Poster Making, Collage, Cartooning, On the spot Photography, Installation, Quiz(Prelims) were conducted.
Out of these 16 items, extraordinarily talented students of ACFA clinched 1st position in 7 items i.e. Vaar Singing, Folk Orchestra, Classical Instrumental (Non – Percussion), Classical Music Vocal (Solo), Clay Modelling, Poster Making and Cartooning, 2nd position in 6 items i.e. Folk Song, Kawishri, Classical Instrumental (Percussion), Painting on the Spot, Collage and Quiz(Preliminary) and 3rd position in Installation.
Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra was joyful to see her students excelling in as many as 14 items on the very first day of Zonal Youth Festival. She admired the respective mentors of the students for guiding them in excellent ways. She especially admired the efforts of Dr. Amita Mishra, Dean, Youth Festival and Dr. Arun Mishra, Cultural Advisor, College for being the ultimate guide to all the students and their mentors to be the champions of Youth Festival.
