Jalandhar April 22 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- The IT Forum of Department of Computer Science of Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar organised 9th Inter School Competition Tech Fest 2022 in which 317 students from 15 schools of Jalandhar city and around participated with much enthusiasm and joy. The event was inaugurated by Dr. Sucharita Sharma, Director, Apeejay Education Society, Pro Vice Chancellor, Apeejay Stya University and Senior Education Advisor, Rajeshwari Sangeet Academy who was warmly welcomed by Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra who presented her with a beautiful plant and also a memento to make the moment memorable.
She expressed her gratitude towards Dr. Sharma for accepting the invitation to grace the occasion and also gave her the credit for the illuminous heights which ACFA has reached today. She added she will unturn all the stones to maintain this rich legacy in which she has contributed a lot. Addressing the students, Dr. Sucharita Sharma called them the budding young professionals and wished them best for the competitions.
In the competition, Business Idea, Presentation Play with Clay,Painting on the spot, General Quiz Bonanza, Gaming (Game: Counter Strike 1.6), Picture Captioning, Poster Presentation, Photography /Picture Capturing, Gustakhi Maaf, Website Development, Programming Skills, Declamation, Poetical Recitation,Theme Based Modelling, T-shirt/ Hand Painting, Mobile App Idea Presentation, Rangoli, Cooking and Group Dance were there.

The event was concluded with Valedictory Ceremony where Hon’ble Prof. Dr.Tarlok Singh Banipal, Dean, College Development Council, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar was the Chief Guest of the day. Addressing the students, he said that ACFA has always shone and contributed to the achievements of GNDU. He added that today’s youth has abundance of talent and opportunities to shine; all they need is right direction and guidance for the right path. During the Valedictory Ceremony, students of Dance presented a fabulous dance performance, which was prepared under the guidance of their mentor Dr. Micky Verma.
The students of Theatre presented a mime, which depicted the life of Pritivi Raj Chauhan and his battle with Muhammad Gauri, which they had prepared under the mentorship of Mr Vijay Shair and Mr. Gurpreet Singh. All the winner students were given certificates and trophies. Dr. Navjot Deol, Dr. Simkee Dev and Mr. Sandeep Singh handled the stage compeering smoothly. Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra congratulated Dr. Rupali Sood, HOD, Computer Science and IT, Dr. Jagmohan and Incharge, IT forum – Ms Pallavi and Mr Rohit Chawla for successfully organising the event and a glorious day full of fun and educational activities for the young students.
The overall trophy was bagged by Apeejay School, Mahavir Marg. Police DAV School, Jalandhar was the first runner up and Lala Jagat Narayan Public School, Jalandhar was second runner up.
