
Jalandhar February 20 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- The IT forum of Department of Computer Science and IT of Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar organized Guest Lecture on Cyber Security in which Ms. Prishita Dhingra working as Security & Risk Compliance Auditor at Bobble, Al, Gurgaon was present as a source speaker.
Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra congratulated Ms. Prishita Dhingra and expressing her views on the significance of the topic said that in these contemporary times, it is necessary for the students to be aware about cyber crime. She added technology is developing rapidly and it has become the part of one’s daily lives and in this process more and more people are coming in the grip of cyber crime. So, it is important to learn about the ways to avoid becoming the victim of it and saving their personal details and important confidential information.
Addressing the students, Ms. Prishita Dhingra first threw light on the many kinds of online crimes as swishing, phishing etc. and said how it is crucial to stay alert and not share the OTPs or passwords with anyone.
She also gave detailed information about cyber security and its various phases to the students and said that they should get in- depth and have practical knowledge about it and added that there are lots of job opportunities available in this field these days.
Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra appreciated the efforts of all the faculty members of the Department of Computer Science for successfully organizing the guest lecture and encouraged them to continue conducting such informative and informative guest lectures in future too.
