Jalandhar April 1 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- The students of Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar secured top three positions by in various activities conducted by the District Election Commission under the programme SVEEP.
In poster making, Jaahnavi and Prateek Dutt Sharma of B.F.A Semester 6 secured first and second position respectively. Vikas Kalotra and Abhishek of B.F.A Semester 2 secured first position in Rangoli making. In Slogan writing Simran of MA Fine Arts Semester 2 secured second position and Rajat of B.Com Semester 4 and Bhavini of B.Sc Economics semester 4 secured third positions in speech and essay writing competition respectively.
Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra congratulated the students and said, “They should continue to participate in various competitions in the future as well. This will not only lead to an all-round development of your personality but will also increase self-confidence.”
She appreciated the efforts of Mr. Anil Gupta, Head of the Department of Applied Art who motivated the students for poster making, Madam Monika Anand, Head of the Home Science Department, for guiding the students in Rangoli and Dr. Rimpi Aggarwal, Head of Department of Fine Arts for guiding the students for Slogan writing.
