Jalandhar July 25 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- The new academic session 2023-24 at Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar commenced with the Orientation programme for the new entrants. The students of various departments in the college were introduced with the history, background, core values, rules and regulations of the college.
Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra addressed the students and said, “College life is much awaited time for anybody and it is completely different from school life. This is the time when you have to work hard to make your dreams come true by working hard and sincerely and set the foundation of their career.”
She added that they should not limit themselves to the academics only and actively participate in the extra-curricular activities by being the active member of various student bodies. This will help them to develop soft skills, communication skills and other essential traits to develop personality and enhance confidence. She also urged the students to visit library regularly and develop a habit to read books and newspapers to add to their knowledge.
Dr. Neerja Dhingra also acquainted the students with the achievements of the college and told them that Apeejay has been winning for 21 consecutive years in Youth Festival and have won Zonal, Inter Zonal Youth Festival Championship trophies.
Also, the Heads of various departments shared the information about their departments, introduced them to faculty members also talked about the employment opportunities available in their respective fields.
