
Jalandhar February 28 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar is a heritage and historical institution. Its history is 114 years old. An institution originating in Lyallpur district of Pakistan, Lyallpur Khalsa College has today established itself as the premier educational institution of North India. An exhibition depicting its legacy ‘College Darshan‘ was organized at the college campus. S. Baljit Singh came to the College Darshan Exhibition under the Punjab Darshan Program at the College.
Principal Prof. Jasreen Kaur visited the exhibition on this occasion and informed the rest of the teachers and students about the history of the college. She, on this occasion, said that the college was first started as a school at Lyallpur Pakistan, whose first headmaster was Master Tara Singh. At that time, Sundar Singh Lyallpuri and other teachers were also with him.
The foundation of this institution was laid by Sant Atar Singh Mastuana Sahib. She added that the exhibition will be very useful to inform the students about the history and heritage of the college. On this occasion Dr. Harjit Singh Head, Department of Mathematics, Dr. S.S. Bains Dean Sports, Dr. Surinderpal Mand Head Department of Punjabi and S. Baljit Singh were also present.
