District Level “Yuva Utsav: India @2047” organized at HMV

Jalandhar May 31 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, in collaboration of Nehru Yuva Kendra, Jalandhar, organized a District Level ‘Yuva Utsav: India @2047’ on the theme of ‘Panch Pran of Amrit Kaal‘. The event started with the lighting of the lamp followed by DAV Gaan. Sant Balbir Singh Seenchewal, MP Rajya Sabha, Mrs. Zeenat Khaira, PCS Additional Deputy CEO, Zila Parishad graced the occasion as a chief guest and Sh. Nityanandan Yadav, District Youth Officer was the special guest.

Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen welcomed the guests with planters. The objective of the event was to apprise the Indian youth of the building of developed India, freedom from all thoughts of slavery, pride on our rich heritage, unity, duties of a citizen, etc.

Principal Prof. Sareen said that young generation is the future of our society. Youth can play a major role in developing the nation. She appreciated the efforts of Nehru Yuva Kendra. Sant Balbir Singh Seenchewal insisted the youth to take a vow to keep the environment clean. He stated that we should make all the villages and towns of Punjab to be pollution free. On the occasion, the special guest of the even, Sh. Nityanandan Yadav inspired the youth to embrace our culture. He also motivated the youth to participate in various fine art activities so as they progress in life and contribute in the development of nation.

India is celebrating 75th year of its independence with Aazadi Ka Amrit Mahotsava. On the occasion, young artists participated in painting, poetry recitation, photography, elocution competition, and cultural events. The winner, first runner-up and second runner-up of painting and photography events were awarded Rs. 1000, Rs. 750 and Rs. 500 respectively.

In elocution competition, the winner, first runner-up and second runner-up of were awarded Rs. 5000, Rs. 2100 and Rs. 1000 respectively. The winner, first runner-up and second runner-up of cultural events were awarded Rs. 5000, Rs. 2500 and Rs. 1250 respectively.All the participants were awarded certificates of participation

Various departments set up their stalls to provide information on government run schemes

On the occasion, various departments set up their stalls to provide information on government run schemes. In young artist event, Preeti Gupta, Jasneet and Shyna got first, second and third positions respectively. In poetry recitation, Gagandeep, Geeta Rani and Simran Pawan Chadha bagged first, second and third positions respectively. In photography, Riya Khurana, Chiraag Rajpal and Muskan Kaushal got first, second and third positions respectively. In elocution, Preetkiran Kaur, Saloni and Gurjot Singh got first, second and third positions respectively.

In cultural events, Bhangra Lisian Group got first position, Arhab Mutiyaran Group got second and Desi Mutiyaran got third position. The coordinators of the event were Dr. Shallu Batra and Dr. Jiwan Devi. On this occasion Dr. Surinder Kalyan, Manohar Dhariwal, Rehana Bhatti, Dr. Kirti Kalyan, Rakesh Bali, Dr. Jasbir Singh, Gurjit Singh, Dr. Saavi Aujla and Dr. Kashmiri Lal Aujla were also present.

The stage comparing was conducted by Sh Dalwinder Dayalpuri and Dr. Anjana Bhatia. On this occasion, Student Council, NCC and NSS cadets also participated. Teachers and students of various institutions were also present.
