Jalandhar December 6 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Economic Association of PCM S. D. College for Women, Jalandhar organized a Debate Competition “Let’s Debate” on various topics of interest in which students of B.A., B.Sc. (Economics) and B.Ed. Semester-V participated with full zeal. There were four teams of three students each i.e. two debaters and one moderator. The competition gave students an opportunity to hone their debating skills and they were encouraged to express their views on topics of relevance without any fear or hesitation.
They themselves chose the topics about which they had differing opinions and hence wanted to debate on. All of them openly voice their thoughts on the issues taken up for debate and enjoyed participating very much. Team comprising Tejinder, Arshita and Anamika of B.A. Semester-V was adjudged the winner of the competition. Their topic of debate was “Life in India Vs Life in Abroad”. Faculty members of the department cherished the hard work of all the partakers and admired them for putting up an informative and very energetic debating session.
President Shri Naresh Kumar Budhia, Senior Vice – President Shri Vinod Dada, other honorable members of the Management Committee and the worthy Principal of the college Prof. (Dr.) Pooja Parashar congratulated the students for their participation. She also appreciated the efforts of the Department of Economics for organizing such events for the overall development of the students.
