Dr. Deepa Sikand in her lecture made the comparison between traditional education system and the modern education system
Dr. Deepa Sikand in her lecture made the comparison between traditional education system and the modern education system. She asserted that once again we need to establish the traditional education system where students receive the knowledge of art, science, mythology, religion and their culture under one roof and according to their interests like Gurukuls in the past time and thus focus on their all-round development and make them responsible citizens.
She added that as teachers we need to have close and healthy relations with the students and this can be done through Flip classrooms and thus connect them with the subject and develop their interest towards it. Also, teachers should aim to develop the personality of students not just through bookish knowledge, but by discovering the hidden talent in them.
Dr. Deepa said,” Today every student is interested in getting employable education
Dr. Deepa said,” Today every student is interested in getting employable education, so we must make students familiar with the employable possibilities of our subjects and each subject should have 40% theoretical and 60% practical acticities in order to engage them in various activities related to the subject so that their personality can be developed completely. “
Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra honoured Dr. Deepa by giving a memento. Dr. Sunit Kaur expressed her gratitude and said that definitely her extensive knowledge has inspired us.
