Jalandhar June 1 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar organized Golden Night ‘Rukshat’ for the outgoing resident scholars with exuberance and cheers galore. The Chief Guest of the occasion was Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen. She was extended a green welcome by the Resident Scholars Coordinator Mrs. Meenakshi Sayal. The event began with the pious lighting of the lamp followed by DAV Anthem. The students showcased their talent by displaying various cultural dance performances- Indo Nepali and Bollywood dance and by singing folk songs.
The outgoing students presented an emotional skit on their stay in the hostel which was applauded a lot. All glamorous girls graced the ramp in four different rounds of modelling which were expertly judged by Mrs. Binoo Gupta, Dean Student Welfare, Mrs. Urvashi, Dean Student Council, Mrs. Saloni, Head of PG Deparment of Physics, Dr. Meenu Talwar, Head of Sanskrit Department. Ms. Kashman was selected as Ms. Farewell 2022, Ms. Sukhman was declared as 1st runner- up and Ms. Shreya was declared as 2nd runner – up. The title Ms. Charming was given to Ms. Shivani, and Kavita was selected as Ms. Ethnic.

All the office bearers, proctors and task force students were honoured for their contribution in the hostel. The zestful performances were given power packed termination with the energetic performance of Giddha. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen gave her best wishes to the students. She motivated the students to be the role model for the other girls of the society. She conveyed an indispensable message to be grateful always.
Mrs. Meenakshi Sayal thanked Principal Dr. Ajay Sareen for sparing her time for the occasion. She added that resident scholars learn valuable lessons of flexibility, responsibility, cooperation, respect and affection along with academic excellence. She extended her warm wishes for the outgoing students.
Along with this, she informed the students about various PG courses running in the college and motivated them to work hard and opt for higher studies. To grace the occasion, Dean Youth Welfare Mrs. Navroop, Dr. Jatinder, Head of Biotechnology Department, Mr. Pankaj Jyoti (Supdt. Accounts), Mr. Lakhwinder Singh, (Supdt. General), Mr. Ravi Maini (Supdt. Admin.), hostel wardens and members of Teaching and Non-teaching were present.
The Guest of Honour was Ms. Anjali Salaria, a former UG Head Girl. The Guest of Honour, Ms. Anjali Salaria paid her warmest gratitude to HMV as she believes that whatever she is today is all because of HMV. She said that the college made her to find her real potential by polishing her leadership quality, stage anchoring and management quality.
