
Jalandhar April 7 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Under the sagacious and visionary guidance of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar celebrated 97th Foundation Day. HMV has been empowering women and illuminating the path of women education since 1927.
On this pious and glorious occasion Justice (Retd.) Sh. N.K. Sud, Vice President, DAVCMC & Chairman LC and his wife Mrs. Arunima Sud graced the occasion as Chief Guests. Sh. Ramesh Arya, Vice President, DAVCMC, Mrs. and Mr. Arvind Ghai, Secretary DAVCMC, Sh. Sudhir Sharma, Sh. S.P. Sehdev, Mrs. and Mr. Y.K. Sud, Dr. Sushma Chawla, Sh. Surendra Seth, Dr. Pawan Gupta, Sh. Kundan Lal Aggarwal, Sh. Bhushan Sharma, Regional Manager PNB, Dr. Vijay Mahajan and Mrs. Vani Vij, Dainik Savera Times also joined us for celebrations. S. Lakhwinder Singh Johal and S. Surinder Singh from Lok Manch Punjab, Sh. Gaurav and Sh. Gaba from Jio tag were also present.

Congratulating all students, staff and everyone associated with this prestigious institution, she emphasized the glorious contribution HMV has made in the field of Women education. She reiterated the commitment of this institution to follow the vision and path shown by Mahatma Hans Raj and Mahatma Anand Swami. She expressed her deep heartfelt gratitude for President DAVCMC Padamshri Dr. Punam Suri Ji and all LC members for their continuous support and blessings.
Sh. Surendra Seth, Member LC donated Rs. 1.00 Lac to college on this pious occasion. Many short term courses were launched on this day as a step towards progress and innovation. Self Grooming Course, Office Productivity, Software Development, Basics of Research, Human Rights, Personality Development, HMV Vision Newspaper are among some of them. The members of teaching and non-teaching staff who have completed 25 years of committed service in this college, were honoured.
HMV is the only college in Punjab, which is fully Jio True 5G
The college has to its credit being the first campus to have Jio 5G tag. Now HMV is the only college in Punjab, which is fully Jio True 5G. Top leadership team of Jio visited the campus in a glittering ceremony organized in Ragini Auditorium. The college also launched AQI Project Aab-O-Hawa by Mr. Jagjit Bhatia from Comp. Sci. Department. This device will measure the Air Quality Index of HMV. It is a very unique project and HMV becomes the first college to launch AQI.
Justice (Retd.) Sh. N.K. Sud also honoured Principal Dr. Ajay Sareen for receiving an award by World Human Rights Organization. Principal Dr. Sareen also has the distinction of being published in the first edition of National Magazine Wings of Vision as “Iron Lady”. Mr. Bhushan from Punjab National Bank donated two water collers from the bank.
A choreography depicting the journey of HMV was shown by the students. This was prepared under the guidance of Dean Student Welfare Mrs. Urvashi Mishra. All the guests, teaching and Non-teaching members and students took the pledge for making HMV, the first Zero Waste Institute of the Country. Stage was conducted by Dr. Anjana Bhatia.
