Jalandhar April 25 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- With Jalandhar all geared up for the Lok-Sabha By-Poll Election-2023, Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar became the proud host of various activities conducted under Systematic Voters Education and Electoral participation organized by District Electoral Office Jalandhar.
Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen offered a green welcome to the Chief Guest Chief Election Commissioner. Sh. Sibin Chakkyadath, IAS, Deputy Commissioner cum DEO, S. Jaspreet Singh, IAS, ADC (G), Major Dr. Amit Mahajan, PCS, ADC (Dev.), Sh. Varinder Pal Singh Bajwa, PCS, Additional CEO, Pb. Sh. Vipul Ujwal, IAS, Sh. Vivek Joshi, Major Irwin PCS, Dr. Pritam B. Yashvant IAS, Mr. Ujjwal Bhowmik IPS and Mr. Rajiv Shankar, IRS.
Principal Dr. Sareen formally presented a cordial welcome to all the dignitaries and highlighted the glorious achievements of the institution. She urged the young voters to fulfill their responsibilities towards the nation alongwith being aware of their rights. She also mentioned the various innovations to the credit of HMV which have a great impact factor on the city. She assured complete support of the institution towards the office of District Election Commissioner.

CEO Sh. Sibin Chakkyadath felt elated over the spectacular and enthusiastic event organized by HMV. He expressed his concern over low percentage of voting and motivated the youth to use their rights. ADC (Dev) Sh. Varinder Pal Bajwa elaborated on the SVEEP movement which is meant to ensure maximum participation of voters. He also expressed his thanks to HMV for being an incessant supporter in all their endeavours. The event also witnessed the presence of accomplished transgender icons, Mohan Mahant and Sumedha Tyagi who have built their unique identities in the society.
They expressed their delight that India gives due representation to all the communities and they were honoured by the Chief Guest. The audience enjoyed the mesmerizing cultural performances of people with special abilities, Jugni, Nukkad Natak and Bhangra. Videos prepared under SVEEP were also showcased to the audience. RJ Sandy and RJ Himanshu from Radio City entertained everyone with their witty remarks and made the youth aware towards voters by asking questions about voting procedure.

The institution celebrated the occasion by cutting a cake depicting a polling booth. DC cum DEO S. Jaspreet Singh presented vote of thanks and told that they are fully focused on increasing the voting percentage in the By-Poll.
The office has arranged for necessary facilities for all kinds of voters. He expressed his thanks to all guests and particularly towards HMV. The event concluded with National Anthem. The stage was conducted by Dr. Anjana Bhatia.
