Jalandhar March 13 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Home Science Department of HMV Orgnaized a seminar on “Healthy Woman Healthy Society” under the able guidance of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen. The session was lead by Dr. Pooja Kapoor, Senior Pediatrician at Kapoor Bone and Child Care Hospital. Dean Academics Dr. Seema Marwaha, IQAC Coordinator Dr. Ashmeen Kaur, Dean Innovation and Research Dr. Anjana Bhatia honoured the guest with an organic planter.
Mrs. Navroop, Head of Punjabi Department welcomed the guest of the day and appreciated the beautiful poem on “daughters” recited by Dr. Pooja Kapoor. She conveyed that in today’s world, every woman should have deep knowledge of their health requirements. Mrs. Ritu Bajaj, Incharge Home Science, expressed her delight on having Dr. Pooja as Resource Person of the seminar. The main purpose of the seminar is to provide good health and hygiene.
Dr. Pooja highlighted about vaccination of cervical cancer. She imparted knowledge regarding anemia and stress among youth. She advised to have a healthy ad discipline diet plans. At the end of the session students queries were taken up by the Resource Person. After the seminar Mrs. Vandana Gupta from Home Science Department also presented vote of thanks to everyone.
