HMV started the Celebration of World Sanskrit Day

Jalandhar August 31 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya started the celebration World Sanskrit Day and Shravani Upakaram under the able guidance of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen. The celebration will continue till 3rd September. The Chief Guest of the occasion was Pracharya Gurukul Kartarpur Dr. Udyan Arya. The students participated in Poster Making Competition, Sanskrit G.K. Quiz, Debate Competition, Bhajan Recitation Competition.

Principal Dr. Ajay Sareen said that Sanskrit language is the basis for Indian Culture. Yoga, Ayurved, Arthshastra, Mathematics, Astrology, all are in the Sanskrit language. Sanskrit is the mother of all languages. It is our duty to tell its importance to the young generation. She also congratulated Vedic Adhyayan Samiti and Sanskrit Department for making the students aware about this pious language.

Dean Vedic Adhyayan Samiti Dr. Mamta also congratulated all on this occasion. Dr. Udyan addressed the students and said that Sanskrit is mother of all languages. It is the most suitable language for Computer Programming. It should be known by all the people of the world. Head of Sanskrit Department Dr. Meenu Talwar said that Sanskrit is a very rich language of traditional India. Stage was conducted by Dr. Meenu Talwar. On this occasion faculty members of Hindi Department were also present. Dr. Mamta gave vote of thanks.
