Jalandhar November 25 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar engraved its glorious name in the category of sports as well. The college swelled with pride when Jessica Jagdev of BA Semester 5th won Gold medal in the category- Shot put for women during the Inter college athletic meet held at Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. Her best throw was 10.62 meters. Not only this, the tennis team of the college bagged 3rd position in inter- college Sports competition held at Guru Nanak Dev University. The team comprised Ansh Ahuja of B.Com Semester 1st, Madhur Syal of BA Semester 1st and Abhiraj Singh Bakshi of BBA Semester 3rd.

Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra admired and congratulated the students and humbly boasted that along with efficient and impeccable artists, ACFA has competent sports persons as well. She added the way our students are earning name and fame in the field of art, I hope soon we establish our footprints in the games of International stature. She appreciated the efforts of Dr. Harmandeep from Department of Physical Education under whose directions the students have been preparing and rehearsing for these Regional Competitions.
