Kanya Maha Vidyalaya IIC making its identity in the North-West region with its outstanding performance

Jalandhar July 18 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) continuously strives to create and develop the culture of innovation and entrepreneurship among its students and to promote innovation and entrepreneurship in the activities organised by various departments here. As a result of this, Kanya Maha Vidyalaya has become the best performing I.I.C. institution as it has created its own special identity in the North-West region.

Giving more information in this regard, Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that the Institution Innovation Council (IIC) of Kanya Maha Vidyalaya has successfully implemented a method to organise the campus ecosystem of innovation and entrepreneurship and to promote and support such a culture among the students and faculty members.

It has also received 4 Gold Star rating by the Innovation Cell of the Ministry of Education, Government of India. Moreover, it has also been selected as a Mentor Institute in the Government of India’s Mentor-mentee program from among the top 155 Institutions of India which include Universities, Engineering Colleges and Management Institutions. Under the A.T.L.-I.I.C.linkage program where K. M.V. I.I.C. is mentoring three schools, while also working as the coordinator and facilitator of the pre-incubation center set up to provide facilities to the faculty and students. Along with this Innovation and startup policy has been implemented by KMV IIC in the region.

KMV has also bagged performer band in ARIIA rankings of Ministry of Education. I.I.C. also provides Seed money to the students for startups and so far 19 students are successfully running fashion boutique, beauty salon, diet clinic, nutritive food manufacturing, chocolate making, baking and video editing ventures.Apart from this, innovative ideas of students have also been selected in national level events like Toycathon 2021, Smart India Hackathon 2022 and Ideathon 2023.

It is noteworthy that so far I.I.C. have organised66 activities through which the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship can be created in the students and teachers. Madam Principal lauded the efforts of Dr Rashmi Sharma, President, KMV IIC & the whole team of IIC for these brilliant achievements.
