Jalandhar April 1 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) observed World TB Day. The commemoration was organised by Red Ribbon Club under the aegis of Department of Student Welfare. During the event, various week long awareness activities namely quiz, slogan writing, PowerPoint presentation & poster making etc. were organised in which students of various departments of the college participated with full zeal and enthusiasm. Students through their slogans and posters have presented the symptoms, causes, types and prevention of the dreaded disease like Tuberculosis as well as alsomade awareness presentations on its causes & prevention.
Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi congratulated the students who participated in these activities. She averred that these kind of activities play a vital role in spreading awareness about various health issues. Madam Principal lauded the efforts of Dr Madhumeet, Dean, Department of Student Welfare & Mrs Shikha Vashisht, PG Department of Botany for organising the event successfully.
