Kanya Maha Vidyalaya organises week long celebration to commemorate Hindi Diwas

Jalandhar September 14 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) celebrated Hindi Diwas by organising week long activities. Students expressed their love and enthusiasm for the national language Hindi by participating in various competitions. On this occasion, Rangoli decoration, poster making and slogan writing, online quiz, poetry recitation competition and declamation competition were organised. Students from all classes participated in all these competitions with full zeal and enthusiasm.

The signature campaign dedicated to Hindi Day was inaugurated by Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi by writing Mahatma Gandhi’s statement stating that ‘Without the national language, the Nation is dumb’. She averred that all the students and countrymen should learn as many languages as possible, but after understanding the importance of our national language, we should adopt it with pride and also implement it in our daily life. She also extended best wishes for the bright future of Hindi language.

Faculty members of various departments namely Dr. Vinod Kalra, Dr. Madhumeet, Dr. Gurjot, Dr. Harpreet, Ms. Rashmi Bindra, Ms. Geetika, Dr. Rupika Sharma, Dr. Anushobha, Ms. Reetu & Ms. Ranjana expressed their feelings towards Hindi by writing slogans and giving their signatures in Hindi.

Results

The results of the above mentioned competitions were as follows:-

Raveena, Dhanlakshmi, Preet, Snekshi, Rakhi got first place in the Rangoli competition. Khushi, Bhavana, Muskaan, Daljeet Kaur stood second. Gulnaz, Naina, Dolly, Prabhjot, Sonia, Kajal, Dimple, Himanshi stood third.In Poster Making, Saloni & Khushi stood first, Chandni, Komal Kumari, Prabhjot stood second and Sonia stood third.

In the declamation, students expressed their views on Hindi as my identity, Language of culture, Identity of Hindi in the World, Significance and Challenges of Hindi, Pride of the Nation- Hindi language and in this competition, Kajal stood 1st, Ankita, Geetika, Kirti stood 2nd, Khushi Choudhary was declared 3rd and Saloni, Jiya received consolation prize.

More than 200 participants from different states of India participated in the online quiz competition. Madam Principal lauded the efforts of Dr. Vinod Kalra, Dr. Rupika Sharma, Dr. Anushobha and all the faculty members of PG Department of Hindi for successfully organising the celebrations.
