Jalandhar March 14 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) PG Department of Mathematics organised a workshop on Mystiques of Mathematics in collaboration with Research Cell, under the aegis of Curie Grant to commemorate the celebration of International Day of Mathematics-Pi Day. Dr. Sachin Kumar, Associate Professor, Central University of Punjab, Bathinda was the resource person for the workshop. The eminent speaker discussed about the recent open problems in the field of Mathematics as the students were fascinated to know about the open challenges and their rewards. Dr. Sachin took the students to a journey towards the applications of eigen values and eigen vectors in particular to the population dynamics of rabit and fox.

Students also showed keen interest in the entire session and asked relevant questions regarding open mathematical problems, their solving techniques, the significance of Pi and their applications in real time scenarios. The session was highly influential and also helped the students to dive deeper in the fields of Mathematics and its application. During the end of the workshop, many inquisitive students asked their queries from Dr. Sachin to which he responded very eloquently.
