Jalandhar August 29 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) organised an Indoor Volleyball friendly match to commemorate National Sports Day. The match was organised by Department of Physical Education. The students learnt a lot about true sportsmanship and the value of playing games. Approximately more than 100students participated in this activity with full zeal and enthusiasm.
Principal Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that the aim of conducting these types of activities is to raise awareness about the values of sports: discipline, perseverance, sportsman spirit, teamwork, and to encourage students in large to take up sports and make it an integral part of their lives while emphasising on the importance of being fit and healthy.Madam Principal lauded the efforts of Department of Physical Education for conducting this activity.
