Designers showcase exclusive designs during KMV Fashion Fiesta
Jalandhar March 27 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) organised Annual Fashion Fiesta Sukriti’ 23. Dedicated to the goal of empowering women, the fiesta included more than 500 budding models and designers of KMV. During the occasion, all the designers and stylistassociated with the Fashion Show were honoured for their brilliant and exclusive creations.
It is pertinent to mention that the designers who worked day and night for this show were the KMVites which included the students of B.Sc. Fashion Designing, M.Sc. Fashion Designing, B.Voc. & M.Voc. Textile Design & Apparel Technology of KMV and all the creations which were showcased in total seven different rounds of the show namely Origami for the red carpet, Pichvai Art in Contemporary Style, Colourful Sassy Swag, Empowered for the evening, Magnum Opus, Queen Aquamarine & Legar Tintura were designed by these students and were also modelled by the students themselves which made the evening and event memorable.
The students of cosmetology department were the make up artists during the show and also showcased their talent while making the models ready for the ramp walk. Ms. Neha Waraich, renowned make up artist was also honoured during the Fashion fiesta for her contribution towards the show.

Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi lauded the efforts & all the designers and make up artists and averred that these kind of activities play a pivotal role in enhancing the skills of the students so that they may be able to make a mark in their lives. She further maintained that the students of KMV are very much talented and creative and always proves their mettle in their respective fields.
Ethnic wear, traditional wear, office wear, western dresses, evening gowns, Indo Western were the highlight of this glamorous event. Innovative sari drapes and lehengas added to the richness of the show. The prestigious task of judgement was done by Mrs Taniya Mishra, Night Dwellers, New Delhi& Ms Reema Singh, Designer.
