KMV organizes an Orientation Session on Handholding Support to Mentee Institutions for its five mentee institutions

Jalandhar September 9 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) provides infrastructure and technical support to the students having innovative ideas to transform their ideas into new & innovative products for the betterment of the society. Under Mentor-Mentee program KMV’s Institution Innovation Council organized an orientation session on Handholding support to Mentee Institutions on Pre-Incubation Facilities for its five mentee Institutions.

The session witnessed the presence of in campus faculty along with the IIC representatives from Govt. College, Ropar, Guru Hargobind Institute of Law for Women, Ludhiana, J.C. DAV College, Dasuya, IITM College of Art Science and Commerce, Sonipat and Laxmi Narayan College of Technology Excellence, Bhopal. During the presentations Innovation Ambassadors elaborated that Innovation Hubat KMV is an independent place of learning, inspiration, motivation, recreation, imagination and thinking.

In order to enhance the creativity and skill in Education of Basic Physics, some experiments like circular pendulum, black hole, air cannon, doppler effect, energy transfer in spring etc, are installed to make it easier for students to understand the concepts of Physics in a practical way. Also center of Beauty & Wellness has well equipped lab and smart classes for students to enhance their practical skills.

A three room guest house at KMV is also managed by the students under Hospitality and Tourism under which students practice bed making. Under Textile and Apparel Technology, students are trained in handloom making, stitching, drapping etc. KMV IIC has supported several students to establish their own boutiques under seed money project. Students also sell their products through Amazon under the banner of KMV, Jalandhar.

To boost talent among KMVites, a fashion show named Sukriti is organized every year where students gets an opportunity to exhibit their talents through modeling, fashion designing and make up art. Overall the event was very interesting and it motivated mentee institutions to establish such incubation facility at their own campuses. Principal Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi lauded efforts KMV IIC for organizing such orientation sessions and invited mentee institutions to visit and avail incubation facilities at KMV.
