KMV successfully organises The Quest-23- Inter-College Debate & Quiz competition

Students from 20 Colleges & Universities of Punjab participate in the Fest

Jalandhar April 11 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) has been constantly working for the overall development of their students. With this objective, Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences organised Inter College Debate & Quiz competition titled The Quest-23. This competition witnessed a huge participation from the students from various universities and colleges as there was an overwhelming response witnessing participants from 20 universities and colleges from Punjab. The chief guest for the event was Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi.

Addressing the gathering, she averred that KMV is an exemplary institution that is providing best quality education to its students. She also inspired students to follow their dreams and to work hard with full dedication. She further maintained that such events provide a good platform to the students to display their creativity and talent besides getting practical exposure as KMV from time to time keeps on organising such competitions in order to instil a spirit of healthy competition in the students. The first event of the day was Debate and the topic of the debate was Mobile phones are killing creativity in students.

The next event of the day was quiz that started with a preliminary round which consisted of 20 questions and only the four teams were selected for the final on stage round of the quiz. During the final round, total 10 rounds were conducted by the quiz master Mr Kumar Sambhav, Advocate, Punjab & Haryana High Court and all the teams showcased their brilliance by answering the questions pertains to different spheres of life.

Madam Principal lauded the efforts of Dr. Gurjot, Head, Department of History and all the other members of the organising committee for their efficient team work and the flawless coordination of events.The overall trophy was bagged by Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous), Jalandhar, 1st Runner up trophy was bagged by Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar & Second Runner up trophy was bagged by GNDU Regional Campus, Ladhewali, Jalandhar.
