
KMV’s Dr. Monica Sharma awarded with minor research project by Indian Council of Social Science Research, Ministry of Education, Government of India
Also granted with six modules of MOOCS on Political Sociology

The college lays emphasis on excellence in research and motivates its staff to undertake meaningful research projects. In an another major achievement, Dr. Monica Sharma, Associate Professor, Department of Historyhas been awarded with Minor Research Project by Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR)on the topic “Skilling the Rural Women of Punjab: A Study on the Effectiveness of Vocational Training Programmes in Villages” with a research grant of Rs. 3,00,000.
Moreover, Dr. Monica has also been granted with six modules of Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) on Political Sociology. It is pertinent to mention that Dr Monica is also the Director of Gandhian Studies Centre at KMV. Principal Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi congratulated Dr. Monica Sharma on this remarkable achievement.She highlighted that KMV focuses on the professional development of its faculty members and provides encouraging environment to them to undertake research activities.
