KMV’s Karate team bags various medals in Inter-College Tournament

Jalandhar November 27 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) always excel in sports activities along with the academics. In an another major achievement, KMV Karate team bagged 5-5 medals in Inter-College Karate Tournament organised by Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. Student named Harwinder Kaur bagged silver medal in under 58 kg category, Mandeep bagged bronze medal in under 68 kg category and Samiksha won bronze medal in above 68 kg category.

Along with this, Kumite team of Shagun, Harwinder and Amarjit bagged silver medal and Kataa team of Shagun, Shaini and Vishavpreet bagged bronze medal. Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi congratulated the team players on their achievement. She averred that players at KMV are provided many facilities which include free education, hostel, mess & transport facilities.

They avail a lot from state of the art infrastructure comprising Gymnasium, Health Club, Swimming Pool and sprawling play grounds. All these exceptional facilities elicit such excellent outcomes. Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi also adumbrated that KMV will continue to provide these facilities to the students who continue to prove their mettle in sports arena. Madam Principal also lauded the efforts of Dr Davinder & Ms Baldina, for this brilliant achievement.
