
Jalandhar July 19 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Apeejay College of Fine Arts Jalandhar has always been in the forefront as far as environment protection is concerned. NSS volunteers of the college are the registered members of the MERI MATI MERA DESH program, which is run by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India. Under this program, 1 July to 21 August is entirely dedicated to environment protection with the theme ‘ Beejaropan to Variksharopan’.
To be a part of this movement, students of the college participated in National Students Paryavaran Competition (NSPC) 2023, which is being conducted by the Ministry of Human Resource Development. This participation was through the Ecomitram app. Students received e -certificates for participating in this event.
Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra appreciated the students for their sensitivity towards cleaner and greener environment. She said that in the coming weeks, college will undertake a tree plantation drive. The college not only imparts academic knowledge but also instills moral and social values.
