Mr. Rajesh Kalsi – Assistant Professor in Department of Graphics Design of Apeejay College of Fine Arts Jalandhar got honoured.

Jalandhar August 27 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Mr. Rajesh Kalsi, Assistant Professor in Department of Graphics Design of Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar participated in the National Print making Workshop organized by Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi, in collaboration with Chandigarh Lalit Kala Akademi and Government College of Arts Chandigarh. In this workshop, 75 eminent printmaking artists from across the country participated and showed their creativity. On this occasion, the Chief Guest of the day was Mr. Banwari Lal Purohit (Governor of Punjab).

On this occasion, Mr. Bhim Malhotra, President, Chandigarh Lalit Kala Akademi said, “This workshop is dedicated to completion of 75 years of Independence.” The artists tried various mediums of printing like woodcut, linocut, etching, lithography, screen printing etc.during this workshop.

Mr. Rajesh Kalsi with digital and conventional printers and using the etching technique made a creation titles ‘Traveller’ in which he showed the aspect of life-cycle and depicted that life is like a river and thoughts are like fish which keep going from here to there.

Mr. Kalsi told that printing is a way of making manual artworks which demands creativity and patience for it is a time- consuming process.

Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra heartily congratulated Mr. Rajesh Kalsi on this achievement and wished him good luck to keep up with the good work and touch greater heights in future too.
