Jalandhar December 20 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- NCC cadets of PCM S.D.College for Women, Jalandhar conducted Traffic Awareness Drive at BMC Chowk in collaboration with Traffic Police Commissionerate, Jalandhar and Jalandhar Welfare Society. The cadets of the college interacted with the people especially with the youth to make them aware about traffic rules and to persuade them to follow rules while maneuvering the wheel on roads. They also hold banners and placards having slogans on road safety. During the rally, the cadets praised those who wore helmets and also distributed the helmets to the people who didn’t wear the helmet.
Not only this, cadets also made people aware about the use of reflectors. During the rally, ADCP (Traffic) Kanwalpreet Singh Chahal conveyed the message of obeying traffic rules, wearing helmets to ensure safety measures while driving.Commanding Officer of 2 Punjab Girls Batallion Colonel Narender Toor said that NCC always motivate cadets to participate In such social activities.
Applauding the cadets for their enthusiasm in the event and appreciating the efforts of the NCC in-charge Captain Priya Mahajan in mobilizing the youth for such social causes, the worthy Principal Prof. Dr. Pooja Prashar said that PCM S.D College for Women, Jalandhar has always been a frontrunner in shaping a beautiful society by making its student responsible, well-informed and dedicated towards the social concerns.
President Shri Naresh Kumar Budhia, Senior Vice President Shri Vinod Dada, other honourable members of the Management Committee and the worthy Principal felicitated the cadets for their avid participation. The rally was also participated by Inspector Sakandya Devi,Inspector Iqbal Singh, SI Ranjit Singh, ASI Samsher Singh, Head Constable Satinder Singh and Hawaldar Baljeet Singh.
