Jalandhar March 9 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- History Association of PCM SD College for Women in collaboration with Women Empowerment Cell organised a Debate Competition on the topic ‘Role of Women in Indian History’ on the ocassion of International Women’s Day. Students from various streams participated with sheer gusto and unparralled exuberence. Jasmine of BA B.Ed Semester I grabbed first position, Loveleen of BA Semester VI bagged second position and Santoshi of B.Sc Non Medical Semester VI made it to third position.
The judge of this competition were Mrs. Kawaljit Kaur and Dr Renu Bala. President Shri Naresh Kumar Budhia, Senior Vice President Shri Vinod Dada, other members of the managing committee and Principal Prof.(Dr.) Pooja Prashar applauded the endeavours of the department and the Women Empowerment Cell in holding such activities of relevance that enlighten women of their rights and the need for upward social mobility to realize their worth.
