Psychology Department of HMV organised a trip to Amritsar

Jalandhar April 10 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Under the able guidance of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen, the PG Department of Psychology, Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya organised a trip to Amritsar. A contingent of 24 students along with 3 faculty members, Dr. Ashmeen Kaur, Ms. Niharika Mazumdar and Ms. Harpreet Kaur visited Amritsar. Trip was coordinated by Dr. Ashmeen Kaur. It was a one day trip and three places (Golden temple, Jalianwala Bagh and Gobindgarh fort) were visited.

Firstly, students and teachers paid obeisance at Darbar Sahib where they spent peaceful time in spiritual environment. Afterwards, contingent visited Jalianwala Bagh, where students got an opportunity to know about the history of massacre whose horrifying memories are still alive in the minds of people. After Jalianwala Bagh, they visited Gobindgarh fort where they came to know about the heritage fort of Punjab.

Students were shown 7-d show based on the life of Maharaja Ranjit Singh. Students were also made to analyse the psychological determinants behind the sacrifices. Students also had lunch in the fort. Students clicked photographs at all the places. It was wonderful trip and all had great fun. It was good experience overall. Efforts of all the faculty members and students, made this trip a great and memorable experience.
