Jalandhar December 25 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Second day of NSS camp in Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya Jalandhar i.e. on 25th Dec, 2022 was started with NSS song and DAV Gaan. On the second day of the camp, NSS volunteers Dilpreet, Rachna and Harshdeep presented the report of the activities briefly performed on the first day of the camp. On the second day of the camp, NSS volunteers organized the poster making and poetical recitation competition. Volunteers of the camp participated in these competitions enthusiastically.
On this eve of Christmas day, volunteers visited the ‘Apahaj Ashram’ where they shared their personal feelings and emotions with the needy persons and also gave them eatable things and cloths under the principle of sharing and caring. On this pious occasion of Christmas, principal of the college Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen said that we should always take initiative for the welfare of humanity or society. Dr. Sareen praised the NSS unit of the college and NSS volunteers for taking such kind of steps to serve the humanity selflessly.
On the second day of the camp, volunteers also shared eatables and other necessary things between themselves and highlighted the importance of ‘sharing and caring.’ Programme officer of this NSS camp mrs. Veena Arora and ms. Harmanu paul-member of NSS unit inspired the students to serve the humanity and further said that NSS unit of the college is still serving the society and will always be do the same in future. On this occasion, Ms. Bhawana form the dept. of economics was also present.
