KMV is always aware about its responsibility towards Environment Conservation: Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi
Jalandhar June 6 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) celebrated World Environment Day on the theme of Beat Plastic Pollution in order to spread awareness about the Environment &its conservation. During the week long celebrations, an enactment of Street Play was performed by the students& a face painting competition was also organised on the theme in which the students accentuated many issues like protection of species, save plants, save nature and restoring degraded, damaged or destroyed ecosystem and habitats in the environment by active human intervention and actions etc. through plantation drive.
The event was organised jointly by the PG Department of Fashion Designing, Department of ECA, PG Department of Cosmetology & PG Department of Journalism & Mass Communication. The main motive of this event was to make students aware about the conservation of our ecosystem and subsequently reduce the usage of plastic. Principal Prof.(Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that the time demands that we should all be aware about our responsibility towards environment conservation and KMV from time to time keeps on organising such meaningful activities so that the students should be made aware about their responsibility towards the society.
Madam Principal congratulated the students and lauded the efforts of Dr Harpreet, Head, PG Department of Fashion Designing, Dr Gurjot, Dean, ECA, PG Department of Cosmetology & PG Department of Journalism and Mass Communication for sensitising the students and making the event a big success and also asked them to connect to such initiatives in future also.
