World Nature Conservation Day was celebrated at Lyallpur Khalsa College

Jalandhar July 29 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- World Nature Conservation Day was celebrated by the Department of Physical Education and Sports of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar to create awareness about the need to preserve the environment and natural resources for the posterity. Principal Dr Gurpinder Singh Samra while planting a sapling, drew attention to the need for preserving the environment in view of relentless human over exploitation of resources in recent years.

He reiterated his commitment to the cause of environment and ecosystem and urged the present gathering to contribute by organising awareness campaigns and actively participating in events and activities that come to the rescue of mother nature. On the occasion, Dean Sports, Dr Simranjeet Singh Bains welcomed the Principal and highlighted that a healthy environment is a foundation for a stable and productive society and elaborated upon various steps that need to be taken by the youth of the college in contributing their part to address and arrest the further decay of our environment.

Members present during the occasion were Dean Cultural Affairs Prof Palwinder Singh, Prof Ajitpal Singh, Prof. Ajay Kumar, Mr. Amritlal Saini and Mr. Sunil Kumar besides students of Department of Physical Education and Sports.
