Jalandhar January 25 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- On the eve of 74th Republic Day of India, SWA and NSS wing of Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar organized an elaborate function to celebrate the occasion. The National Flag was unfolded by the Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra in the presence of staff and volunteers of NSS,SWA and NCC who sang the National Anthem. This was followed by a colourful function in the college auditorium. Dr Neerja Dhingra addressed the gathering and infused a spirit of patriotism amongst the youth when she talked about India heading the G20 summit in 2022-23. She also shared that Andaman and Nicobar Islands had been renamed after the winners of highest gallantry award of India.
The programme featured the screening of a documentary titled ‘Safarnama’ prepared by the in-house production team of the college highlighting the achievements of the country since independence. A patriotism – themed choreography was performed by student Vansh and a patriotic song was sung by student Sehajdeep Singh. Dr Neerja Dhingra appreciated the collaborative efforts of NSS wing and SWA in organizing the event.
