Jalandhar February 8 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- The lamp doesn’t speak, it introduces itself through its light, Achievers never expose themselves but their achievements expose them. To honour and acknowledge the achievements of students of HMV Collegiate Sr. Sec. School celebrated the ceremony of “Achievers Day 2023” with exuberance under the influential guidance of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen. The event commenced with an invocation to the Almighty by kindling the lamp of knowledge and wisdom. It was followed by the recital of DAV Gaan.

Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen and School Coordinator Dr. Seema Marwaha extended green welcome to the worthy Chief Guest of the event, PCS Officer Gursimranjeet and the Presiding Officer Justice ( Retd) Sh. N.K. Sud, Vice President DAVCMC and Chairman of Local Committee. The beautiful event became divine with the rich tribute paid to Goddess Saraswati with the beautifully performed Saraswati Vandana by a student.

Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen, while addressing the students, appreciated and congratulated all the prize winners for their commendable achievements. She further inspired students saying that success is not just about what you accomplish in your life, it’s about what you inspire others to do. The real goal is to keep improving and saying to yourself that the best is yet to come.

School Coordinator Dr. Seema Marwaha presented Annual Report of session 2022-23

Therefore, School Coordinator Dr. Seema Marwaha presented Annual Report of session 2022-23, throwing light on academic achievements of the year, co-curricular activities sports and various events organised for wholesome development of students and future commitments towards excellence in education. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen, School Coordinator Dr. Seema Marwaha alongwith the dignitaries felicitated the achievers with trophies and certificates. Around 180 students were awarded for their prodigious achievements in scholastic & co-scholastic activities.

On this occasion, Head Girl, Joint Head Girl, Class Representatives, Office Bearers and students of Task Force were also honoured with Appreciation Certificates. The Best Student of The Year Award was given to Jahnavi Kapoor and Komal was awarded with the Best Player of the Award. The Honorable Chief Guest PCS Officer Gursimranjeet Kaur was highly pleased with sagacious vibes spreading all over in HMV Campus. She inspired the students to find their real selves, work harder and achieve their aims. The Presiding Officer Justice (Retd.) N.K. Sud showered his gracious blessings by saying that determination with hard work is imperative to be successful in life.

The students performed dazzling Bhangra, presented wonderful folk song and one act play was also enacted to showcase the various facets of social media. The contented students were beaming with joy and pride. The event ended with recital of national anthem. Stage was conducted by Dr. Anjana Bhatia. On this occasion, all the members of teaching and non- teaching staff were present.
