Jalandhar April 23 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Anaemia Awareness and HB Check- up Camp at HMV Collegiate Sr. Sec. School by Department of Zoology in collaboration with Inner Wheel Club under the able guidance of Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen. The objective of the camp was to create awareness about anaemia, Its prevention and importance of regular check up of Hb level in blood. The worthy guests Dietician Dr. Monisha Sikka, President Inner Wheel Club, Microbiologist Dr. Sarika Khanna, Mrs. Anita Pabla, Secretary of the club were welcomed with green planters by the school coordinator Dr. Seema Marwaha.
Dr. Sarika Khanna in her address provided knowledge to the students about anaemia, its symptoms, causes and necessary measures to prevent it. Dr. Monisha Sikka laid emphasis on to take balanced diet and never to skip breakfast. In her vote of thanks Dr. Seema Marwaha expressed her gratitude to the team of doctors and said that these kinds of awareness camps are important to be organized for the holistic development of students as health is the greatest asset and the progress of any nation depends on its healthy citizen.
Around 124 students got their HB level checked up. Ms. Rashmi Sethi conducted the stage. Dr.Sakshi Verma and Mr. Ravi Kumar from Zoology Department, Ms. Vandana, Ms. Ridhima, Ms. Sukriti assisted in organizing and successfully completing the Camp.
