Apeejay College conducted discussion on ‘Budget Pe Charcha’ programme

Jalandhar February 14 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- The MAC Forum of PG Department of Commerce and Management of Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar organised a ‘Discussion on the Budget‘.

Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra expressing her views said that such programmes boost the confidence of the students and also provide clarity to their outlook on the current economic situation.

Regarding the budget of session 2023-2024, she said that the budget is showing the possibility of educational reform as the National Digital Library is being established, which every Indian who wants to gain knowledge will be able to use. Also, capex has been increased and this is very important because unless the emphasis is laid on the improvement of infrastructure, the rate of development will also remain slow. She added that budget showcases many options to increase the rate of employability, to promote startups, development of micro small and medium enterprises and establishment of 30 new skill development centres.

Dr. Payal Arora of Department of Commerce introduced the students to the history of the budget. Under the direction of Ms.Garima Arora, the students of the Department of Commerce presented a wonderful choreography on the topic ‘Effects of Budget on Different Sectors of Economy’.

Kashish, a student of M.Com 2nd Semester, presented the budget in a very interesting way while playing the role of Nirmala Sitharaman. Under the topic ‘Discussion on Budget’, students presented their views on important topics like Agriculture, Tax Regime, Education, Entertainment, Digital Index, Capex.

Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra appreciated the efforts of Dr. Monika Arora (Head, Department of Commerce), Dr. Arti Verma (Dean, MAC FORUM) and Dr. Manisha Sharma for the success of this programme.
