Apeejay College of Fine Arts conducted a 2-day workshop

Jalandhar March 10 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- The Department of Journalism & Mass Media and Theatre of Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar conducted a 2-day workshop for the students of Journalism and Theatre.

On first day, the Resource Person of the day was Mr. Madan Prashar, Programme Officer, Mumbai. The lecture was delivered on the topics- playwright, direction, news reading, theatre and television.

On second day, the Resource Person was Mr. Arundeep, Chief- Editor, Punjabi Jagran and Media Expert. He delivered talk on news and current affairs and relevance of Social and traditional media in the contemporary times.
An interactive session was conducted with the students on citizen Journalism fake news and qualities required for a good journalist.

Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra also took part in the discussion regarding the dying culture of print media. Putting forth her views on the requirement of workshops, she said that for the said students, such workshops carry utmost weightage. The practical exposure and the interactive sessions with the experts in the field who have already made their space gives them the ample space and knowledge to plan their journey in their respective fields of Interest.

She appreciated the efforts of Mr. Vijay Shayer, Ms. Nayala Arora, Ms. Surbhi and Mr. Gurpreet Singh for successfully the workshop.
