Jalandhar November 4 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar conducted a Faculty Development Programme for the newly joined faculty members of the college on the topic “Teaching Learning Software – Moodle”. In this Faculty Development Programme, Mr. Rohit Chawla from Department of Computer Science and Ms. Anupreet Kaur from Department of Applied Art addressed the gathering and said ,” Today every field is connected with technology be it education or business.

So it is the need of the hour to adopt technology for teaching and to stay connected with students throughout.” They also explained the different stages of the “Moodle” software, like how it works and how it will benefit the students. Apart from this, they explained how teachers can use it up to the advanced level like updating study material, adding youtube links which can be directly accessed by the students and also the procedure of submitted assignments online and thus saving paper.

On this occasion, Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra, expressing her views said, “Today’s era is the era of development and technology and no field is deprived of technology. If we talk about education then this is a software through which students and teachers can be facilitated for this provides a common online platform to them to share the information with each other. “She added it can be used in a convenient way for the students and teachers and moreover, keeping up with the technology is the demand of time. She appreciated Mr. Rohit Chawla and Ms.Anupreet for successfully organising this programme.
