Jalandhar February 3 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- The NSS Wing of Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar observed World Wetlands Day. On this occasion, the faculty of Apeejay met iconic Mr. Balbir Singh Seechewal and talked about the urgent need of preserving the environment. While putting forth his views on this major social issue and water in Punjab, Mr. Seechewal said that if the precautions won’t be taken immediately,Punjab will face water crisis in next 18 years. He also added that during elections, those parties should be supported who think on these terms to protect our environment.

Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra said that being responsible citizens, our actions should be such that preserve our wetlands which are not just the homeland of birds but also act as a shield against floods.

She appreciated the efforts of Dr. Simkee Dev, Dean NSS for celebrating World Wetlands Day.
