Jalandhar September 16 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- The 64th ‘Doordarshan Day‘ was celebrated by the Department of Bachelor of Journalism and Mass Communication at Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar. On this occasion, various activities like News Reading in Hindi and English, Quiz, Ad Mad Show and Personality Reflection were organized in which students of various departments of the college participated with great enthusiasm.

Principal Dr. Neeraj Dhingra while expressing her views on this occasion said that in the past there used to be quite a craze for Doordarshan and everyone used to watch only one channel on the televisions. Also, the newsreaders of that time used to present the news effectively with pauses. She said that today the news channels.

In Hindi news reading competition, Vishal got the first prize, Pearl Kakadiya got the second prize, Rishta Upadhyay got the third prize and Stuti got the consolation prize.

In English news reading, Pearl Kakria stood first, Rishta Upadhyay stood second, Nanina Jaggi and Ritika stood third and Aarushi and Kritina got consolation prize. In quiz team- Urvi, Ritika, Shreya and Kavya got first prize, team- Moksh, Ansh, Nandini and Shivam got second prize, team of Hrithik, Aditya, Sachin and Nitin got third prize.

In personality reflection competition Shivam Sharma got the first prize who enacted Mashoor Gulati, Keshav Arora got the second prize for enacting as Jetha Lal Garha, Nandini Singh stood third for enacting Sansani Fame Shri Vardhan Trivedi. In Ad mad show- Angel, Rajat, Keshav and Vishal got the first prize; Moksh, Ansh, Nandini and Shivam got the second prize and Kavya, Shreya, Lakshita and Himanshi got the third prize.

Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra congratulated all the winners and honored them with certificates.
