Jalandhar November 27 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- The Department of Psychology of Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar organised a guest lecture on Obsessive Compulsion Disorder. Dr. Samita Vasudev, practitioner at Muskan Counselling and Psychotherapy Centre, Jalandhar and also the alumna of ACFA acted as the Resource Person.
Addressing the students, she talked of various kinds of OCDs and also the possible solutions of the same. Through a PowerPoint presentation she explained the entire concept and also showed the videos as- OCD made me do it and Understanding Obsessive Compulsion Disorder. She also talked of various myths associated with and COVID anxiety which has become the part of our life.
On this occasion, Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra said that mental health is one of the significant aspects which needs to be talked and discussed about in our general life. We here at ACFA create an atmosphere for students to be aware about all such aspects. She thanked Dr. Samita for sharing her expertise with the students.
Also she congratulated Ms. Monika Sekhon, HOD, Psychology and Dr. Monika Bahri for successfully organising the event.
