Jalandhar October 27 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- The Department of Fine Arts of Apeejay College of Fine Arts Jalandhar organized a 5 day workshop on Painting which is to be run from October 27th to October 31st. The students of MA Fine Arts, B.F.A (Bachelor of Fine Arts), B.A Fine Arts enthusiastically participated in it. The National award winner of Lalit Kala Academy – Mr. Madan Lal Ji was present as a resource person of this workshop.
In the workshop, he gave detailed information to the students about the different techniques of painting, use of colours, different styles of compositions, the elements of basic composition and the details on how to make a good painting.
Apart from this, he also explained which principle elements are used to create a picture. Also, he showed and explained more than one hundred of his paintings to the students. The students were also shown a slide show of the paintings of Mr. Madan Lal Ji while working in different countries and the paintings which have been displayed in various art galleries across the globe.

Principal, Dr. Neerja Dhingra expressing her views on the occasion said ,” It is our honour to have such a renowned personality in our campus who is a master in his field and it is the good fortune of our students that they will learn extraordinarily skills and tips regarding painting and thus will become more aware about the subtleties of painting.
It is a big deal because it is very important for students who are in the field of art to know such intricate details and these guidelines will prove to be very helpful for them in their future as well. “Apart from this, on this occasion, the students raised their doubts while talking to Madan Lal Ji who cleared their doubts by answering them in details.
Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra appreciated the efforts of Dr. Rimpi Aggarwal, Head of PG Department of Fine Arts, Dr. Jeevan Kumari, Ms. Amandeep and Mr. Anil Gupta, Head of PG Department of Applied Art and encouraged them to keep doing such quality work.
