Jalandhar April 6 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- Apeejay College of Fine Arts Jalandhar organized a programme for its students to make them aware them about the importance of voting rights in the lieu of upcoming elections. The programme began with the students of Dr. Amita Mishra (Head, Department of Music Vocal) and Dr. Vivek Verma, singing the praise of Maa Saraswati.

Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra while addressing the students on this occasion said, “We always focus on the problems within the country and complain about this but we have never taken the initiative to fulfill our responsibilities.” She added if all of us exercise our right to vote while fulfilling our responsibilities faithfully and contribute our roles in establishing a successful democracy, then half of the problems will be solved. Also, if the young generation faithfully fulfills its duty then certainly India, which is a strong and successful democratic country in the world, can be recognized in the world in the future as well.

Department of Theatre gave a spectacular presentation of ‘Loktantra’

On this occasion, the students of Theater Department, Ankush, Rumi Joshi, Lavisha, Simrat, Chirag, Jatin, under the guidance of Mr. Gurpreet Singh of Department of Theatre gave a spectacular presentation of ‘Loktantra’ street play, encouraging everyone to use their vote properly and thus choosing the right leader.

Ms. Nivedita of Department of BJMC encouraged the students about their upcoming examinations and said that if they start working hard, success will surely kiss their feet.

Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra appreciated the efforts of Ms.Monica Sekhon, Head, Department of Psychology and Dr. Seema Sharma of Music Instrumental for successfully organizing this programme.
